The ocean

Made where the salt is

Noelani has designed in Hawaii since 2005. The hoops are hand-forged in 14k gold fill, a jeweler's grade wire that holds its shine in salt water, so a piece can go from the studio straight into the sea.

The flower

Pikake, as offering

In Hawaiian culture the pikake (jasmine) flower was offered to Pele, goddess of fire and volcanoes; its sweet aroma was believed to appease her fiery spirit. Each mother of pearl bud is carved in that likeness.

The moon

Hina, and the light within

Hina is a major goddess in Hawaiian mythology, associated with the moon, kapa making and the female arts. Moonstone and pearl carry her: inner growth, calm, and the light that already lives in you.
